70 Years of Ferrari - Photo and report Willem J. Staat
This year Ferrari celebrates it’s 70th birthday. Reason for a lot of museums and organizers around the world to put the famous Italian marque at the Limelight. The Autoworld Museum based at Brussels had the Ferrari Theme this summer and it lasts until this weekend. More than 20.000 people came during the summer months to watch this exhibition. And a lot of famous cars were there to see like the 275 GTS from Raquel Welch, the 500 Superfast from Peter Sellers, the F1/87 from Gerhard Berger, Eric Clapton’s famous 206 Dino, the 348 TS from Alain Delon, the 308 GT4 from Chris Rea and the 308 GTS from Jean Paul Belmondo.
Further the beautiful Ferrari 250TR161 from the Film La Passione. It is a bit of replica but not really. We also saw a 60 years old unrestored 500 TRC from 1957. But the absolute highlight was the 275 LM from which the first examples came on the market in 1963. But als design studies from Pininfarina like the Conciso from 1999, a real exceptional design. For the Ferrari fans a visit was a must. When we were there people came even over from Brazil and Colombia to watch this.
