Austrian DTM driver Lucas Auer came back fresh from a F1 test at Hungary and shared the BWT Mücke Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 together with Sebastian Asch to take his first ever GT win in his 2nd outing in that kind of cars only. Due to an unsafe release in the pitlane the works Schnitzer BMW M6 GT3 from Catsburg/Eng lost R2 in the pitlane after having started from pole. Because the Schnitzer car had an unfair advantage in the pitlane Catsburg had to give his position back tot he Aust Audi R8 LMS from Markus Pommer and South African Kelvin van der Linde. For Pommer it meant his first win in the prestigious ADAC GT Masters. As said before the BWT Mücke Motorsport Mercedes ran a faultless race to take the laurels in R1. The Team Küs Bernhard Porsche from Mathieu Jaminet/Michael Ammermüller finished second ahead of the Zakspeed Mercedes AMG GT3 from Luca Stolz/Luca Ludwig. At Callaway Competition the team relied on the services from Spaniard Albert Costa and they finished in solid 5th in R1 and 8th in R2 after Gounon had knocked out the Porsche GT3 R from Robert Renauer in the closing stages. 3rd place in R2 went tot he Montaplast by Land Motorsport Audi R8 LMS from Jeffrey Schmidt/Christopher Haase.
In the TCR Germany series reigning champion Josh Files took a breathtaking win after a fine battle with Mike Halder with Niels Langeveld in 3rd. The second race was being taken by Antti Burri ahead of South African Sheldon van der Linde.
In Formula 4 there were three races from which two had to be red flagged due to serious accidents in which the drivers came away relatively fine. In the first race reigning Rookie Champion Nicklaus Nielsen crashed heavily after touching wheels with Russian Artem Petrov but was otherwise fine. In the second race Cedric Pedro lost his brakes at the main straight and heavily crashed into the barriers and had to be taken to hospital for observation. Enzo Fittipaldi, the grandson of Emerson left a big impression as a rookie into the series and finished 3rd in the 3rd race. His first one at the Nürburgring. The F4 races were being taken by Lirim Zendelli, Felipe Drugovich and New Zealander Marcus Armstrong who has a chance to win both the German and Italian titles.
