The combination of Alexander Mies/Michael Schrey clinched the prestigious Endurance title in the VLN around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The rules are quite simple. The champions come out of the categorie with the most entries during the season. A third place in the Cup V5 class meant the championship for them. The overall win went tot he Haribo AMG Mercedes GT3 from the combination Uwe Alzen/Lance David Arnold in a breathtaking last lap where the Manthey Porsche GT3 R from Frenchman Kevin Estre took the chequered flag first but got a 35 secs. penalty for ignoring yellows. So the win went tot he Haribo Mercedes AMG GT 3 from Lance David Arnold. But did it really matter? Both cars crossed the line with 0.371 secs. difference after breathtaking last lap from both drivers. The Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R from Dumbreck/Ragginger finished 3rd after a quite good performance. At the front of the field the Frikadelli Porsche 911 GT3 R from Abbelen/Schmitz/Huisman/Ragginger ran at the front just like the beautiful Lexus LC F which unfortunately caught fire during a refuelling stop which went wrong. Pole went to BMW Junior Christian Krognes in the Walkenhorst BMW M6 GT3 who lapped the Nordschleife at an uncredible 7.35.375 secs. though the HR Ford GT40 from Nico Verdonck set an official new track record during the race with 7.58.558. Also a good result for the Glickenhaus SCG 009 from Mailleux/Laser which finished in 4th position.
