Though Manthey Racing has withdrawn the “works-supported” GT3’s in the popular VLN-series. They are still favourite for overall wins as last Saturday’s proved. For the second time in a fortnight it had to be red flagged due to weather circumstances. But it was the Manthey Porsche 911 GT 3 R from Tony Krumbach which took the laurels ahead of the Schuberth BMW Z4’s from Hürtgen/Schwager/Adorf and Alzen/Bastian which had set the pace throughout the race. The Gemballa McLaren MP4 GT4 from Klasen/Kox/Povavac drove impressively from last to 10th during the race, whilst the Gemballa example from Sascha Bert crashed out due to the weather circumstances.
Japanese Gazoo Racing entered two brand new Toyota 86 cars and a Lexus LF-A car which won the SP8 category.
