The current generation of DTM Cars has come to an end at Hockenheim after 11 racing seasons. In 2012 the new rules will come into force, with Audi, BMW and Mercedes building completely new cars, which must make the series financially affordable for the manufacturers. All three have already tested a lot of miles in recent weeks. The Final DTM race of this era has been taken by Jamie Green with a Mercedes AMG C-Class. It also took Martin Tomczyk 12 seasons to win the title for Audi. He finished second ahead of polesitter Miguel Molina who finished 3rd in the Final Race of the season in which Christian Vietoris was the sole retirement and David Coulthard became the victim of dramatic pitstop and finished deadly last. After her wedding in the week prior to the race Susie Stoddart’s name changed into Susie Wolff. The German Porsche Cup Racing was being won by Sean Edwards whilst his fellow countryman Nick Tandy took the title. Both F3 Euroseries races were being won by Spaniard Roberto Merhi. In the VW Scirocco Cup Finnish Rally Ace Juha Kankkunken won the Legends Cup ahead of two times Indy 500 winner Arie Luyendijk and former F1 driver who announced his retirement from the sport.
