For the 6th time the Bavaria City Racing Show event took place at Rotterdam in the Netherlands. This concept has also been used for demos in Moscow and will move to the future to Dublin in Ireland as well. The organizers prefer to stage those events in countries which do not host F1 Grand Prix events. Therefore they landed a major coupe by attracting the Ferrari and Mercedes F1 Teams for this Road Show. Briton Sam Bird drove a Mercedes F1 car for the first time and Marc Gene caused little damage to his Ferrari as he spun out whilst producing a doughnut. In such cases Ferrari als has a spare car on hand, and with two runs from Mercedes and Ferrari the crowds were not being disappointed. Except the F1 cars, also some historic DAF racing and rallying cars came out. Another impressive highlight was Alexandre Premat’s demonstration run with the experimental Electric Formulec EF01 car. He demonstrated that you can do mighty doughnuts or burn-outs with it. Also attending at the event’s Press Conference was former F1 teamowner Eddie Jordan who had his own opinion about Michael Schumacher. “He has to stop now and make room for the younger generation” he said. According to the organizer more than 600.000 people attended the demonstration runs.
