SCCA Pro Racing has had a race series for street stock machines since 1984 when the Escort Endurance Series was born. In 1990, the series transitioned from an endurance series into a sprint based series. As the 90's unfolded the series evolved into the high impact action you see it as today.
The Series has evolved into a two class series. Both the GT Class and the Touring class have their own seperate televised races every weekend.
