GT4 Two wins for Jan Lammers at Zandvoort Report and Photography Willem J. Staat
Former Le Mans/Daytona veteran winner Jan Lammers is still racing in his homecountry Holland. During the Easter-weekend he won both races counting towards the Dutch GT4 championship with a brand new Porsche 997 GT 4. together with Phil Bastiaans. Porsche is the sole marque represented in the championship. Insiders consider the GT4 Corvette from Kool/Zumbrink as a hot favourite for this year’s championship. The Radical Race was being red flagged for en enormous crash from Latvian driver Karline Stala. After her regular stop coming out of the Arie Luyendijk bend, she lost control, crashing against the fencing. The remains of the car landed on it’s wheels. Stala could extricate herself from the wreckage, shortly collapsed, but remained fortunately unhurt. 18.000 spectactors could also see the electrical Nissan Nismo Leaf RC for the first time in action at the racetrack. Due to the weather conditions no records could be set.
