The face of the GTO race changed overnight, with the late addition of the No. 46 Dodge Viper
STU HAYNER (No. 46 EMI Viper) - The first time I saw the car was this morning. It's a little unorthodox in how it drives, and it's going to take me a while to figure it out. Once I get the placement of the brake and clutch pedals figured out, I think I know the track well enough. We're going to get all these things figured out, and we'll be all right. We haven't even compared our times to the other cars, so we have no idea of how competitive we will be. I used to work with Eric Messley back at AMCI doing ride and drives. He did a lot of the testing with AMCI and drove with us at Sebring a year or so ago in the Firebirds. He called me a few days ago and said come, so here I am.

SPORTSRACER PRE-RACE QUOTES - WILL FUEL BE A FACTOR?
DIDIER THEYS (No. 27 Doran Lista Special) - The fuel economy of the Judd engine is a big factor in every race. We have a better window than they do. For sure, we have to pit like they do, but we have more choice. If we have a yellow, the window is definitely better. They should make it on one stop, but it will be close. We're not concerned about starting sixth. In the past, this strategy worked better. Fredy Leinhard will start the race, and I will try to catch up.
