Halfway through the 2004 season we have already looked at who the most successful driver (Bill Auberlen) and most successful team (Pratt and Miller) has been. But what about the most successful manufacturer? Sure some Manufacturers can support one factory funded effort and show really well in one or two classes, but what manufacturer has shown the ability to create a truly successful line up in the North American world of sportscar racing?
TheRaceSite.com has compiled an exclusive report detailing out what drivers, teams, and manufacturers are the most successful across all forms of professional sportscar racing in North America.
For this report we have included ALMS, Grand Am, World Challenge, Trans Am, and the Grand Am Cup.
Most Wins: 1. Porsche - 16 2. BMW - 11 3. Audi - 7
Porsche has anchored their 2004 season with five wins from the Phoenix ProMotions scoring five wins for the marque. Phoenix ProMotions has scored four wins in the Grand Am Cup Grand Sport class under TheRaceSite.com Racing banner and one in the Grand American Rolex Series under the Planet Earth Motorsports team name. Alex Job Racing and TPC Racing have both each contributed another three wins. In total Porsche has won four races in the ALMS, four in the Grand Am Cup, one in World Challenge, and seven in the Grand American Rolex Series.
Team PTG contributed five of BMWs wins while Turner Motorsports added another four.
