A big positive came out of the weekend as it was announced that Intersport Racing had purchased a new Lola EX257. The team had been running a repaired tub throughout Infineon practice a week ago. During practice the right side of the car collapsed from a repair job from a previous wreck.
The team had to withdraw their P1 entry from Infineon and they did not enter the Portland P1 race. The team ended up winning two straight races in the P2 class, but team owner Jon Field decided to get back into the P1 class and purchased a tub from Lola.
The team expects to be back in action at Mosport with the new tub.
