Grand American Road Racing Association has awarded two lucky fans autographed Union 76 checkered flags. Pat Jones of Bossier City, La., and Edwin Solomon of Allentown, Pa., were selected as recipients of the flags autographed by the winners of the Rolex Sports Car Series VIR 500 and Grand-Am Cup Twin 250s at Virginia International Raceway.
Solomon will receive a Union 76 checkered flag featuring the signatures of the VIR 500 winners. Among the drivers who autographed the flag in Victory Circle are Terry Borcheller, Anthony Lazzaro, Chris Dyson, Andy Wallace, Cort Wagner, Bill Auberlen, Kerry Hitt, Doug Mills and Owen Trinkler.
The Union 76 checkered flag awarded to Jones is autographed by winners of both Grand-Am Cup Twin 250s at Virginia International Raceway, including Brent Martini, Cort Wagner, Don Istook, Alejando Lince, John Schmitt, Pete Halsmer, Eric Curran, and Bob Beede.
Jones and Solomon entered the drawing for the autographed checkered flags while attending the VIR 500 and VIR Twin 250's.They were selected as the winners in a random drawing.
