| Grand Am To Take Over All Motorola Cup Operations |

In a joint announcement today, David Berman, President of Berman Motorsport Group, and Roger Edmondson, President of Grand American Road Racing Association, revealed that Grand-Am will take over operation of the North American Street Stock Championship beginning immediately.
The endurance road racing series has operated as the Motorola Cup Series for the past six years under the operation and direction of Berman Motorsport Group. In announcing the transfer of operations to Grand-Am, Berman noted, "Motorola has been a fantastic sponsor, allowing the series to grow far beyond the size and stature it held when they first got involved. I came to realize that the series was going to need a larger sporting organization behind it if it was going to continue its growth. With the expiration of the Motorola contract, it seemed like the perfect time for a seamless transition to Grand-Am."
"Grand-Am has been sanctioning the series and taking over the operation of this program is just part of its natural evolution," Edmondson commented. "The series has grown from a national Canadian program to a multinational series and as a sanctioning body Grand-Am is better equipped to manage that growth operationally. Being relieved of the operational aspects of the series will free David and his company to concentrate their natural strengths on the marketing side. It seems like a win / win deal for everyone."
