TRG is the team to beat at the eight-hour mark, with Spencer Pumpelly leading the GT class in the No. 66 Porsche GT3. Dominik Farnbacher follows, and is currently the only other car on the same lap with Pumpelly. Farnbacher is driving the No. 86 Farnbacher Loles Porsche GT3. Stevenson Motorsports has moved up into the top three for the first time, with Andrew Davis holding down third in the No. 57 Pontiac GXP.R.
Both of the Farnbacher Racing Porsches, the No. 86 and No. 87, have been contenders in this race. In addition to the No. 66 TRG Porsche, their biggest challenge has come from the No. 07 Banner Racing Pontiac GXP.R. Paul Edwards had the Banner entry in the lead at the seven-hour mark, but Pumpelly took the spot away shortly after and has managed to hold onto the spot for nearly an hour.
