Curran Returns to KONI Victory Circle at Lime Rock
Familiar combination of Curran, Holtom, and Chevrolet results in another win for the Cobalt SS and the Georgian Bay racing team.

It feels great to be back in victory circle with our Chevy Cobalt SS! Eric Curran exclaimed after scoring the victory at the Lime Rock Park Grand-Am KONI ST round with co-driver Jamie Holtom. We started the season at Daytona with a 5th place finish and hoped to better that at Lime Rock; the Georgian Bay Chevy Cobalt SS team worked hard in between these two races to give us the best car possible for Lime Rock, and it's obvious they did.
Curran, a native of nearby South Deerfield, Mass, was thankful to score a much needed win, and especially so at Lime Rock. I couldn't be happier winning again at Limerock, my home track. It's been a tough season for me in World Challenge so its feels really great to win today. The weekend couldn't have been more picture perfect for us. It started out great as I was second quick in the first practice session. From then on my teammate Jamie did a stellar job of putting the car on the pole in the shortened qualifying session."
The race would hold few surprises for Curran Holtom, and their teama rarity at a track where contact and accidents are all too common. At start of the race Jamie held his first spot starting position for the first hour he was in the car. After Jamie's great drive I jumped in the car during our only pit stop that went flawlessly. After a few laps I got back into the lead to and tried hard to maintain my position from a hard charging BMW and two Mazda's with their quicker drivers attacking at every opportunity.
With the Brakes getting very hot I managed to still come across the finish line first in our #01 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbocharged. We didn't have the fastest racecar today, but our quick pit stops, staying out of trouble, and a reliably quick and consistent car like the Cobalt SS kept us out of trouble in the 48 car field.
As with every KONI win, the team behind the success is the most critical aspect for earning victory. I can't thank the guys at Georgian Bay enough for working hard on giving us the best possible race car. After our Lime Rock result we're leading the drivers' points and manufactures points for Chevy. We will continue to work hard at winning a championship that we have come so close to winning before.
