I'm incredibly happy to be starting off 2008 with such a strong team and car for the Rolex 24 hour race! noted Eric Curran. Farnbacher-Loles showed their speed and abilities last year by winning the Rolex GT division, and I'm positive I can help the team earn two-in-a-row.

Curran, piloting the #88 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, sister to the 2007 Rolex GT 24 hour winning #87 Porsche, is no stranger to Daytona, or the 24 hour classic event. I stood on the podium in 2000 with a 3rd place in Rolex GT and have a pole position in the event, so helping the Farnbacher-Loles team to add to their impressive Rolex GT record is something I can't wait to do.

With Curran also competing in Friday's Koni Challenge event, Eric isn't concerned about switching from his front-wheel drive Koni ST Chevy Cobalt to the rear-engine Porsche. I've raced every kind of car imaginable, and a lot of rear and mid-engine cars like the Ferrari 360, a Rolex GT Acura NSX, Lotus Elise, and a Rolex GT Porsche GT3R. I expect to be right at home and up to speed in the Farnbacher-Loles 911 GT3 Cup car.

He's also not intimidated by driving in two different GrandAm divisions in one weekend. My crew members started calling me Iron Man' last year when I was driving in Koni ST, Rolex GT, and in the SPEED GT series. I'd be racing every single weekend if I couldI guess some drivers would suffer by jumping from car to car, but I've managed to keep winning in every series, so delivering for every team I drive for is what I'm committed to doing.
Curranis also accustomed to working with top caliber team mates to earn success in GrandAm competition. I love working with other drivers to partner and deliver the best results possibleRolex GT racing is the perfect format for this. My team mates this year all have incredible records they bring to #87 Porsche, and I know we'll have everything we need to succeed.

With a full season of Koni ST secured with the Georgian Bay team, Curran is looking to add a full-time Rolex GT ride to his calendar. Teaming up with Georgian Bay for our third year together was a natural fit; we've won a lot of poles and races in two short years. I'm 100% committed to driving for Georgian Bay in ST and I really want to join a team in Rolex GT to make the most of my time and abilities. I hope Daytona goes well for me with Farnbacher-Loles, and really want to maximize my driving efforts to pull double-duty in both the Koni and Rolex classes in 2008.
