Bowmanville, Ontario Canada (August 23, 2007): The K-PAX/3R Racing Team has championship on their minds as they prepare for Round 8 of SCCA Pro Racing's SPEED World Challenge GT Championship at Mosport Park in Ontario Canada and although there are three races remaining this race weekend is being looked at as a pivotal part of winning both the Manufacturer Championship and the driver's title.

Who does well here on the high speed Mosport circuit could hinge on the weather man as the K-PAX/3R Racing team is thinking that they will need a wet track to slow the Cadillac of Ontario native Ron Fellows and the Corvette of Eric Curran. Rain is predicted on and off for most of this weekend.

Cadillac leads the SPEED World Challenge GT Manufacturer Championship Presented by Racer magazine with 45 points while Porsche is presently tied with Chevrolet for 2nd with 41 points.

I believe that the rain helps my chances in the K-PAX Porsche, said Randy Pobst driver of the #22 K-PAX/3R Racing Porsche GT3. The Porsche is a great car in the rain and we ran very well in the semi-wet in Toronto, but I never pray for rain because it raises the risk (of the race) but if it does rain I think it will help my chances in the K-PAX/3R Racing Porsche.

I'm not sure that anyone has anything for Fellows and Curran said Bob Raub of 3R Racing. If Ron Fellows wins here that will put us too many points behind to make that up in the remaining two races but we are going to give it our best shot this weekend.

A lot will depend on qualifying because it is really difficult for Michael and Randy to pass these higher horsepower GT cars if they get behind them. That is one long straight back there and we just don't have the horsepower to hang with the Cadillacs and Corvettes there.

We won't be giving it up in any case because I would really love to beat Ron Fellows twice in Canada, concluded Raub with a smile.

We are behind Cadillac in the Manufacturer Championship right now but at this point I would say that we are still in it and we would all love to win the title for Porsche, agreed Pobst We need to have wins to for the Manufacturer Championship but for the drivers championship what we really need to do is maintain good consistent finishes and finish ahead of Andy (Pilgrim).
