New Dutch GT project
Spyker has now been well known for their efforts in sports-cars and Formula l but they could receive competition from an entirely new marque which will appear at the market at the beginning of 2008.
Hansen GT
The Hansen GT project is the brainchild from Giel Hansen, Guido Buskens from B&S Racing Performance, Maurice van Leeuwen, who owns an engineering employment agency which employs people in the world of Formula l. 34 years old Giel Hansen came into contact with Portuguese Ernesto Freitas through a design competition in Sweden. Freitas did the design of the car.
Currently the company is working hard to build their first road versions of the Hansen LMGT 1. At Hansen they opt for the V8/10 concept, and currently the people at Hnasen Engineering are working hard to get the first road car ready.
Racers by heart they are also building a race-version of it. In the first year Hansen hopes to start with a production of about 15 cars.
Currently the team is working hard to give the Hansen race-version it's first shake-down at the end of the year. Their goals might be set on the popular Belcar Endurance series in Belgium as well as the British GT Championship for which youll need a national homologation of course. Racing Operations manager Patrick van Doorn is working hard to get the car going at the beginning of 2008 and is negotiating with several potential sponsors for the project. We are working hard on several sponsorship programs to get the Hansen LM GT running in 2008 according to van Doorn. To get the car running into an American series, that would be fantastic he added.
