| Fellows On Top After Two SPEED GT Practice Sessions At Mosport |

CANADA (Sept. 1, 2006) - Ron Fellows, of Mississauga, Ont., topped Friday practice at Mosport in his No. 16 XM/Motorola/On Star/Cadillac CTS-V with his morning session time of 1:22.099 (107.826 mph). The Canadian dominated both sessions, but it was his morning stint on fresh tires that proved to be the fastest.
Close behind Fellows was teammate Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., putting in a time of 1:22.238 (107.643 mph). The No. 1 XM/Mobil 1/Motorola/Cadillac CTS-V driver was also faster in the first session by over a full second.
Completing the top three was Leighton Reese, of Minnetonka, Minn. Driving the No. 6 Banner Engineering Chevrolet Corvette C6, Reese sliced nearly half a second off of his morning session times, crossing the stripe at 1:22.798 (106.915 mph) in the closing minutes of the afternoon practice.
Fourth fastest on the day went to Road America winner Tommy Archer, of Duluth, Minn. The No. 5 c3Controls/Dodge Motorsports Dodge Viper had a top lap of 1:23.061 (106.577 mph). The No. 64 AXA Financial/Cavenas Elevators Porsche 911 GT3 of Ricardo Imery finished off the top five. The Venezuelan was the fastest of the Porsches with a 1:23.297 (106.275 mph).
Lou Gigliotti (Chevrolet Corvette C6), Lawson Aschenbach (Porsche 911 GT3), Bob Woodhouse (Dodge Viper), Doug Peterson (Chevrolet Corvette C6) and Michael McCann (Dodge Viper) completed the top ten.
Qualifying for Saturday's race is scheduled for Saturday at 11:25 a.m. (EDT). Word in the paddock is to expect rain, so look for a shake-up in the names at the top.
