| Sears Point GT Weekend Preview |

The Speedvision World Challenge Championships continue their record-setting 2000 season with the biggest entry in series history for the July 21-23 Grand Prix of Sonoma Weekend at Sears Point Raceway. A total of forty nine cars are entered for the World Challenge GT race at Sears Point.
"We've got several new cars appearing for the first time this season at Sears Point, and while they may not factor into the season-long points championship, they could very well be a factor on the weekend's results," said Mitch Wright, Speedvision World Challenge General Manager.
Two cars that should be very well suited to the winding Sears Point track include the Porsche 911 GT3R Cup and the Champion Audis.
The highest Porsche finish in the year 2000 has been a third place recorded by The Wheel Source / Hikari Racing Porsche driven by Dave Schardt at Mosport and matched by Peter Kitchak in the opening round at Lowe's in the Keewaydin Group Toad Hall Racing Porsche. For Sears Point these two will be joined by five other Porsches.
The Audis are fresh off a very promising test at Road Atlanta, and hope to improve upon their best finish of the year, a second by Mike Galati at Mosport. Galati will be joined by sports car racing legend Derek Bell in the Champion Audis. "We had a successful test recently. We gained a lot of information at Road Atlanta.
