Blame it all on Peter!
At least that is my story.
Peter Cunningham, shown here wheeling his #1 Acura Certified Pre-Owned/RealTime Acura TSX through turn 8 in the Friday morning practice session at Road America can not only drive but he and the whole RealTime Racing gang put on one heck of a party on Saturday night at a lakeside park in Elkhart Lake.
The menu consisted of charcoal fired chicken, which was roasted to perfection and tasted even better, grilled corn on the cob and various delicious side dishes of coleslaw and potato salad and of course a little trailer (not so little actually) with three kinds of draft beer pouring freely through taps out the side.
It was a sweet deal and most everyone in the World Challenge family accepted the RealTime gang's generous offer and attended! So at least for most of the night all of the differences and complaints were set aside for an evening into night of food, fun fed by a pretty great band!
I believe this was the 16th edition of this great affair and made the trip up to Wisconsin all that much more memorable!
Of course the blame angle is that I didn't get my race report for Saturday's Touring Car race done until Sunday morning and I was late getting back to my motel in Port Washington but I, as I am sure was the case with everyone in attendance, was glad that I was invited!
One complaint I did hear was from a certain Corvette driver who whimpered as he drank water instead of beer, Last time we raced on Saturday so we were able to party like rock stars at this deal. This year I have to behave and drink this stuff (holding up his bottle of water) because we are racing tomorrow morning!
Thanks for the GoodTime, RealTime!
