Turbo's blow! - Dino Crescentini, driver of the #74 Tri-Point Engineering Mazda 6, commenting on how fast the turbo charged Audis, SRT-4s and Volkswagen were at Road America.

Dino Crescentini had a tough weekend at Road America. In the first practice on Friday as shown in the lead picture the back end of his Mazda 6 snapped around under heavy braking into turn 8. Dino slid into the sand trap sideways and had to be rescued by the lift vehicle stationed their just for that purpose.

The afternoon session proved to be even worse as Dino got tangled up with his teammate Jeff Altenburg taking himself and Jeff off course and ending their sessions early.

Both the #74 and #72 suffered significant damage on which the Tri-Point crew labored successfully well into the night allowing Dino to qualify 8th and Altenburg 10th on Saturday morning.

The race later on Saturday proved to be no race at all for Crescentini as the transmission broke before Dino could even take the start!

Jeff Altenburg slipped past Peter Cunningham's RealTime Acura on the final lap to claim 6th place in the race. The 3rd MazdaSpeed/Tri-Point Mazda 6 of Randy Pobst finished 4th.
