Da Jimmies!

No not those little sprinkles you splash onto your favorite ice cream or DQ cones but yet another annoying awards ceremony.

SCCA honored the best of the best at their annual banquet and the recipients were a well deserving bunch but I think there was much more that could have and should have done.

So here are my awards for the 2004 Season.

What do the winners get? Nuttin' honey! I'm on a very limited budget here!

All complaints and commentary about these awards should be directed to my new secretary Mrs. Helen Waite. So please take your comments and go to...... Well you know!

Best Drive - TC

Loads of talent and many grate drives this season but Charles Espenlaub took the Sparco USA/Oakley Mazda Protégé from deep in the field up to a strong second place finish at Mosport. Sure some of the front runners never made it through turn one but Charles was in charge in the #97 Tindol Motorsports Mazda as there were plenty of good cars left for him to pass and pass he did!

Strongest car - TC

Nissan builds those Sentras to last and TeamRTR builds them even tougher as Peter Cunningham had another strong race going in his NISMO/TeamRTR/ Nissan Sentra SE-R at Laguna Seca when he spun into the tire barrier. It looked bad for PD as he had damage on both ends of the car and I figured Cunningham's chances near zero. When I watched that Sentra going by, parts flapping in the wind, I thought that Laguna would be yet another tough weekend for PD Cunningham.
